How do you stop Volume Shadow copy?
If you start run mmc services.msc
You can't stop Volume Shadow copy?
Why?

How do you stop Volume Shadow copy
Volume Shadow Copy Description: Manages and implements Volume Shadow Copies used for backup and other purposes. If this service is stopped, shadow copies will be unavailable for backup and the backup may fail. etc
Perhaps System Restore invokes it? I don't use System Restore (I have it disabled), so Volume shadow Copy is not showing as being started on my computer. (It is set to 'manual' start).

In Vista 5365, the Volume Shadow Service is not even started, although there seems to be a function previous version tab on the properties of files. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
